Finding Your Voice Break
Where is your voice break? In other words, when do you switch from your falsetto to your original chest voice, or vice versa? Check that first with this video before you start doing the Glissando

The Exercise:
Sing an ‘m’ or an ‘n’—whichever feels more comfortable—and let the note drop naturally.
Do you hear a sudden, abrupt change in your sound? That’s where your voice break is!

Tip:
Make sure to glide smoothly through the note, avoiding “steps” or “chunks” as you go down.
If you can clearly hear where your voice break occurs, make a recording of it.

With this video, you’ll get a clearer understanding of where your voice break sits. Using a piano or a piano app, you can pinpoint the exact note where the break happens by matching the pitch and writing it down.

Training Your Voice Break:
Once you’ve identified where your voice break is, you can start training to minimize or eliminate it.

✔Repeat the Exercise: Sing the note and allow it to drop or slide down slowly without suddenly “falling” off the note. Maintain control.
✔Daily Practice: Do this exercise every day to build muscle memory and control (plus, you’ll keep earning points when you watch the video!).
✔Make Progress Recordings: After two weeks of daily practice, record yourself again. If you’ve been consistent, you’ll definitely notice a difference in the smoothness of your transitions. 🎙️
✔Bonus Tip: If you’re using a piano, you can work specifically on transitioning around the note where your break occurs by practicing scales or octave jumps.
