Train your musical ear solo

With this video, you earn 2 points every time you watch it all the way through and participate.

This video helps train your musical ear. Listen carefully to the chords I play on the piano and sing one of the notes you hear. I always play three notes at the same time, so multiple answers are correct.

For many people, it helps to focus on the bass note—the lowest note you hear—since that one is often the easiest to pick out.

Remember that:

✔ A correct note always feels 'stable,' while an incorrect note feels 'off' or uncomfortable.
✔ If this is challenging, it might just take time for your brain to get used to it. Give yourself the space to practice this a few times a week until it becomes easier.
✔ Practicing with the previous video is not cheating! If you find it tricky to do on your own, simply sing along with me until it starts to feel natural.

Ready for an extra challenge? Try singing all three notes of each chord I play!
