Mjom solo

If you'd like to see the example, check out my example in this video.

The exercise:
We’re singing 'mjom'.

Key tips:
✔Don’t be afraid to act silly or sound 'ugly'.
✔Let your whole face, every muscle, join in.
✔Push the sound forward. (Does it tickle? That’s perfectly fine! It means you’re on the right track.)
✔Remember to release your belly when you breathe in.
✔Always keep the purpose of the exercise in mind. It’s not about which notes you hit, but how you hit them. If you feel yourself starting to strain, just stop.
✔You can see which notes you’re singing on the piano in the video.

Write down in your notebook how you feel with each note, or up to which note you could sing the exercise today. This way, you can clearly track your progress!

The A-E-I-O-U and No Yeah exercises also focus on mouth and tongue positioning.
