You say low

First, check out the explanation on working with the low end of your voice in 'How Low Can You Go' and practice the 'Stay With Me Low' exercise before you start this song.

Some songs suddenly include very low passages, or just a few low notes here and there. That can be frustrating if the notes are too low for you. Of course, you can adjust the melody, but with my tips, you can also try to hit those low notes comfortably.

Important to remember:

✔It doesn’t need to sound exactly like the original. The most important thing is that you can sing the note comfortably and that it still sounds good.
✔Approach it with nonchalance and a relaxed, loose mouth position, unlike the more active mouth position I usually recommend as a foundation. -You’ll be using your mouth less actively here, but make sure the sound stays forward. If it starts to move back, adjust your mouth position slightly.
✔For very low passages: laugh from within, keep it light, and play with the vowels to make the low notes easier to reach. Don’t push the low notes, keep it light.

We’ll use 'You Say' by Lauren Daigle as the perfect song to practice this. Follow along and discover how to sing low passages comfortably and musically! 🎶
