Too much is no control

Vocal Development, Start with the Music, Not the Power.

What’s truly important is to begin vocally at the foundation. Don’t give everything right away, start calmly. First, learn the melody and the key thoroughly and let them really sink in. The music is the foundation, and your voice needs to align with it.

Once you’ve mastered the melody, you can gradually start building vocally. Only then should you add expression, dynamics, and power where it’s truly needed. This way, you stay in control, and your singing remains both in tune and rhythmically precise.

Many singers make the mistake of giving it all vocally from the very start. The result? Unnecessary errors like singing off-key, losing the timing, or disconnecting from the music altogether.

The key is simple yet essential: connect with the music first, then expand vocally. This approach not only strengthens your vocal technique but also deepens your musical expression.
