Our house

Peeking at Joni’s window, I imagined the countless melodies and lyrics that came to life behind those panes. That small house in Laurel Canyon, actually Lookout Mountain, wasn’t just a home—it was a haven for creativity, where music history was written. For me personally, it was quite emotional to stand there, looking at that house and walking on Lookout Mountain. We had bought the famous photo for my mother-in-law, a huge Joni fan, so I just had to visit—even though it felt a bit like a crazy fan moment. The incredible picture by photographer Henry Diltz, showing Joni hanging out of her window, says it all. The image simply feels like happiness. And the song Our House brings that whole feeling to life.
